IDEA's second in-person meet-up, hosted by JC Punongbayan at the University of the Philippines School of Economics with founding president Dean Yang. The Philippines is IDEA's thirteenth-largest country by membership, and the room spanned academia, the central bank, government agencies, and the multilaterals. Dean Yang presented IDEA Scholars — a multi-year virtual programme for undergraduates in developing countries — and invited Philippine universities to join as pilot partners. Breakout groups discussed the public goods the community most needs, and whether to form a local IDEA Manila chapter.
